Why use Bellevue Roofing for your install?
Many companies install asphalt shingles but that doesn’t mean they’re equal in quality. The best results come from using quality materials and superior workmanship.
The quality of the materials doesn’t mean anything if you don’t use the proper methods and this is where Bellevue Roofing Company is different.
Bellevue Roofing never uses subcontractors so we have an excellent record on quality control. All work is done by our own employees so we know it’s done right. Our staff works fast but never cuts corners so the integrity of your project will never be compromised. That’s our guarantee to you.

Roofing solutions for your Seattle or Eastside home
We mostly use composition shingles from Malarkey as they have an excellent performance record in the Pacific Northwest climate. For over 5 decades, Marlarkey has been manufacturing roofing products to protect homes and businesses.
The two most popular types of asphalt shingles in the Seattle area are the 3-tab and architectural shingles.
3-tab asphalt shingles
Their name comes from the fact that they have 3 tabs or slots cut out of the shingle. This type of asphalt shingle is the most economical, which is also why it’s the most common. Look around-most of the houses in your neighborhood probably have them.
They’re not fancy but they do their job, which is to protect your house from the harsh outside elements. These shingles come in a wide range of colors so you can select one to match your home.
Architectural asphalt shingles
Also called laminated or dimensional shingles, they’re made by attaching 2 asphalt shingles together to form a pattern. Depending on the style and color, they can even look like a wood or slate roof.
Since they’re constructed of 2 layers instead of 1, they’re much thicker and sturdier to provide better protection against the outside elements. That’s why they last longer than 3-tab shingles, typically 30 to 50 years (depending on the type).
Which asphalt shingle is right for you?
That depends. If you’re on a budget and looking for the most cost effective composition shingle to protect your home, than the 3-tab is your best bet.
If you want something different and can afford to spend a little more, then architectural shingles are for you. You can pick a style that gives your roof a more upscale, 3-dimensional look with the added benefit of knowing they will last longer.
What makes Malarkey shingles better?
Malarkey’s quality control combined with outstanding materials result in better granule adhesion and durability. The granules are what protects your roof so making sure the granules stay on the shingles are why they last longer.
Algae growing on your shingles can cause black stains, which changes the color of your roof and can make it look older that what it is. Dura-Seal AR shingles help to keep your roof looking cleaner for a longer time because it resists algae growth.
The base layer of asphalt shingles is the fiberglass mat and Malarkey’s fiberglass mat is coated on both sides with SBS enhanced asphalt to give it strength and more flexibility to withstand the weather.
We went with Bellevue Roofing because their bid was comparable to the other two bids received and their estimate was thorough… going so far as to be extremely detailed in what services they would provide, defining terms, etc.
It was absolutely clear what we would be getting.
